Semolina pudding

Yeah, my Christmas tree is ready now. As every year, it is the king of my living room !

Concerning the snack, I would like a semolina pudding with raisins and caramel. Here is the recipe...

Caution : Do not forget we aren't allowed to cook alone ! An adult must stay with us. See Instructions.

Ingredients :

  • 1 liter of milk
  • 125 gr of fine semolina
  • 100 gr of sugar
  • 1 yolk egg
  • 125 gr of raisins
  • a few knobs of butter

To prepare the caramel :

  • 100 gr of sugar
  • 2 soup spoons of water

Steps :

1/ Turn on the oven at 180° Celsius.

2/ Soak the raisins in a bowl full of water.

4/ Pour the milk in a saucepan.

5/ Add the sugar and the semolina. Mix well.

6/ Put the saucepan to be warmed over medium heat and mix constantly.

7/ When the semolina is enough thickened, take the saucepan away from the heat.

8/ Add the yolk egg and mix quickly.

9/ Drain the raisins and add them to the preparation.

10/ Butter a cake pan.

11/ In another saucepan, put 100 grams of sugar and two soup spoons of water. Make warm until obtain a caramel.

12/ When the caramel is ready, pour it immediatly in the cake pan.

13/ Pour the semolina preparation over it.

14/ Put a few knobs of butter over the whole and put in the oven during 30 minutes.

Let the cake cool before eating it !
