Every year, on Febrary 2, it is Candlemas. This day, we cook crêpes !
In fact, it is a chritian feast which celebrates the day when the baby Jesus was presented to the Temple, forty days after his birth.
"Candlemas" comes from the word "candle", because, for this occasion, it is customary to light candles which represent the light of Jesus, the light of God.
Why crêpes in all this ? Well, by their shape and color, crêpes symbolise the Sun, the light so.
Here is thus why, Febrary 2, we prepare crêpes.
I have already given you the crêpes recipe in a previous spot, so I let you follow this link.
However, I give you today a good chocolate spread recipe you could spread over your crêpes if you want.
Caution : Do not forget we aren't allowed to cook alone ! An adult must stay with us. See Instructions.
